Nicole & Mark

February 5, 2013

I somehow failed to post this, my last wedding of 2012. In my defense we had like… a really ridiculous end of the year. At any rate, their wedding was rad, they’re fantastic people who I still get to occasionally harass via twitter, and it was an amazing way to wrap up my wedding season. Please to enjoy Nicole and Mark’s pink and black, Alice in Wonderland themed wedding.

Melinda & Rod

September 18, 2012

Way back in January, I got to meet Melinda & Rod. Usually I get to work with a couple ahead of time doing engagement photos, but we stepped it up a notch and brought the whole family in. The downside, of course, is that the kids are immune to my terrible jokes by the time the wedding rolled around. Still, they had a really lovely Sunday afternoon wedding, and it was great hanging out with everyone again.

James & Elizabeth

August 23, 2012

These two have definitely broken my record for quickest booking – Elizabeth called me on a Monday, booked on a Wednesday, and was married that Saturday. So I didn’t have as much time as usual to get to know the couple. Luckily we all got along just great, and their whole crew was a lot of fun to work with.

And we had to take a photo on the staircase. I think it’s the rules there.

They had some really beautiful details, whoever was in charge of decorating did an amazing job.

Have I mentioned how much I love bubbles for photos? Yes? Can I mention it again?

Jill & Aaron

August 7, 2012

Jill’s been saving for this dress almost as long as I’ve known her, saving up quarters from her very first job at the Dairy Queen. She made a really great choice, and I think even dad approved.

I’m really in love with her flowers. Each couple got a different color.

This one was a little challenging, since I couldn’t move around as much as I usually do. Having a minister tell you to stay still is one thing, but when the minister is the bride’s dad AND he’s known you since high school AND he will TOTALLY call your parents… well, you stand where you’re told.

I don’t usually keep my test shots from the family photos, but sometimes they amuse me.

Anthony & Kriscinda

July 31, 2012

When you hear the phrase “backyard wedding,” you never really know what to expect. Luckily, these guys know how to do it up right, and put together a day best described as “totally bitchin'”

Kriscinda’s mother made her dress. Like from scratch. Like with her own two hands.

This is Spook. He makes cameos in all of their vacation photos, popped in for their engagement session, and took a break from his busy modeling career to serve as ring bearer.

Jess Kelley got to hang out with the boys before the ceremony, and took this shot.

Another from the lovely Jess Kelley.

They even had bodyguards.

Most of their toasts had me tearing up, too.

A friend made this cake topper of the happy couple, Moggy, and Spook.

Some people might think you can’t dance to death metal. Those people are wrong.
